I've spent years around online gaming, digital products and crypto. CATCH came from a combination of things I'm genuinely interested in: SpaceX, tokenized real-world assets, games, and on-chain mechanics that actually do something.
The original idea was fairly simple:
SpaceX catches rockets.
We catch SpaceX.
But once I started pulling at that thread, it became obvious there was room to build something more interesting around it.
A big part of the energy to actually take the shot came from Quotrons. Watching that ecosystem develop, and seeing what Sergio (@cruelhandeth) was building around tokenized stocks, mechanics and community, reminded me what I enjoy about crypto when it's at its best: somebody has an idea, builds it in public, and sees where it can go.
That gave me the push to stop thinking about launching something and actually build one.
CATCH isn't affiliated with Quotrons or Sergio, and nothing here should be read as their involvement or endorsement. It's simply important to give credit where it's due.
The aim with CATCH was to take that inspiration in my own direction: combine the SpaceX narrative with holder rewards, recurring buy mechanics, supply reduction, and a strategy that keeps accumulating and hardwiring Quotrons.
I'm building CATCH as samwooltarly.eth (@lordofthepouch). I keep my personal identity private, but the project's wallets, fee flows and treasury activity should be open for anyone to inspect.
I'd rather make commitments people can verify than ask anyone to trust a biography.
I received no free CATCH allocation. At launch I made one 0.1 ETH purchase through Sentry.
That purchase produced approximately 21.86 million CATCH (2.186% of total supply) for 0.1 ETH. It was a purchase, not a separate founder allocation. I won't make a second purchase simply to reach a particular percentage. The figures below record that initial purchase as it happened on-chain; they are not a statement of a current balance.
The Founder / Deployer wallet also receives the creator-fee stream before those funds are routed to the published project wallets. Those creator-fee inflows are a separate project flow and are not part of the founder's CATCH position.
Mechanics, wallets and important decisions should be visible.
Founder ownership comes from purchasing the token, not from receiving free supply.
Holder rewards, CATCH buy + burn and QUOTRON accumulation give CATCH recurring mechanics beyond pure speculation.
Where something can be independently verified on-chain, it should be.
I don't want CATCH to be a token that launches, puts out a few tweets and then waits for the chart to do something.
Mission I is the launch. It isn't the end of the build.
Mission II is already in development: a CATCH game built around live SpaceX events, where players enter missions and compete to become the last spacecraft standing.
There's a much bigger idea here than a single token launch. My intention is to keep experimenting, keep building and keep giving people reasons to interact with CATCH.
